Today marks a day devoted to spreading kindness around the world. In education realm, today should be a day celebrated every day!
We have so many anti-bullying rallies and assemblies but never a spread kindness awareness. If we think about the about the prefix anti (meaning against) the word anti-bullying already has a negative feel. We should be anti-bullying. I don’t think this is the way to solve the rampant bullying problem in schools. We should be pro kindness. We should teach kids how to be kind and spread that kindness. This should happen on a daily occurrence rather than taking the ten minutes to teach it.
